Hello loves! Wow, have I been gone a while! I’m sorry for the absence, and I would like to say that it won’t happen again, but I don’t want to lie to ya’ll.
Life has been hectic, and I could go on a tangent about why I haven’t been blogging, but I will spare you all the details and just say that I needed a break.
As I was scrolling through wordpress and bloglovin’ getting my reading fix (because it has been a while since I have even looked at others blogs as well) I realized that I at least needed to do SOMETHING with my little blog that I have ignored for the past couple months. I figured I would write and at least check in to let you guys know that I am still here! However, before I get back into writing regularly, I feel like I need some better direction for my blog, and I need to reconfigure everything so that I can channel this blog in the right direction. Hopefully that makes some sense, it makes sense in my head!
Since it has been so long, I thought it would be nice to do a ‘currently’ post to let everyone know what has been going on in the world of Claire 🙂 So, lets get started!
Song: I have been listening to A LOT of music lately! I am choosing to list 3 songs, because I can’t pick just one!
Food: uhm, Perry’s cookie dough icecream, the end!
Class: Yes, I am taking classes this summer… abnormal child psychology…it is 3 hours twice a week, so a lot of work, but so far I am loving it!
Struggle: Recovering from surgery. Last Friday, I had a muscle biopsy done. I was in the hospital from 6 am until 4 pm! I have a pretty big scar on my leg and lots of bruising. It has been a challenge walking on campus to say the least, but slowly and surely healing.
Past times: Besides homework and studying (fun!)…Searching for new songs and creating playlists on Spotify, listening to podcasts (particularly Mind Body Musings), sleeping, hanging out with my boyfriend and close friends, and playing with my puppy Fiona
Book: All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven, and Abnormal Child Psychology (6th edition-yep that’s right, my textbook)
Motivation: My desire to be a Medical/Health Care Social Worker! I decided that is the avenue of social work I would love to pursue, and I absolutely cannot wait until I can work in a hospital setting and just get started!
The thing that I am most looking forward to: Graduating! And starting my Master’s program this fall 🙂
Guilty Pleasure (s): Searching for Social Work jobs despite it being three years away (yes, I am THAT weird!) and every form of reality TV
I am sure I could think of more, but I think I will wrap this post up here! If you read this, thank you for sticking with me, and I am really going to try to carve out more time to spend in the blogging world.
