30 Things That Bring Me Joy!

Hello loves! So despite feeling very fatigued and exhausted today, it is a beautiful day outside. In honor of such a lovely day I thought I would write a post on things that give me joy. In defiance of all of our hardships and struggles that we go through every day, it is important to reflect on what you are grateful for or create a list of things that fill you with happiness and joy. Below is my list of joyful things/moments/experiences that I have thought about and created:

After thinking for a good couple hours on this post and what I was going to write, I was able to come up with my top 30 things that bring me joy. This is a great activity for anyone to do – especially if you struggle with a mental health issue, eating disorder, or any sort of physical illness because it forces you to look at all of the positive aspects of life instead of dwelling on the negative.

Tell me: What things do you love to do? What brings you happiness and joy? Did you enjoy reading this post? Was it helpful? Do you have any similar experiences of joy? I would love to hear from you!

  1. Awesome post! Love it!
For me joy is shopping every sunday i have to shop haha. Music makes me happy humming, spending time in nature makes me feel beautiful inside, my pet was my true happiness! Baking cakes, walks, writing, hide and seek with lil kids, mid night snacks, haha many things brings joy to me. We just need to know what is our happiness!

  2. πŸ™‚ I loved reading this post, thanks for sharing it. For a while I had a nightly practice of just writing down or picturing in my mind three things I was grateful for each day, I usually did it before falling asleep and it was really uplifting, maybe I’ll start it again – meanwhile here are my three things for today 1) waking up with my lovely cat Lucia snuggled into me purring 2) the freedom to eat breakfast & drink coffee 3) my friend D getting in touch & helping me with the guinea pig collection… I always find once I start I have lots of great positives πŸ˜‰ x hope you’re having a lovely weekend, Em

  3. I love my best friend (I think you know this, but that’s you!) and I love that the owl blanket was on there as well! SCORE! Okay, I’m done being weird.

My friends, learning about mental health/mindfulness/OT, Beauty and the Beast, finding victory in challenges that I never seemed possible, parks, my kitties, my education…despite the stress I love it!

  4. What a great list to keep handy! I remember being bored one summer. So during the next school year, when college was especially difficult and it seemed all I did was study, I took a few minutes to make a list of all the things I wished I could be doing if I didn’t have so much schoolwork. The list was easy to make because when you are busy you can imagine all the things you’d rather be doing but can’t. The next summer, whenever I started to feel boredom coming on, I pulled out the list and had plenty of fun things to do! Your list will give you hope when you are feeling down and plenty of ideas when you need them!
