30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day #27

27. I am grateful for random acts of kindness from others. Kindness is one of my top values, and when I see others being kind to me or someone else it is just heart warming. I am grateful for volunteer work, as well. I find that to be so satisfying and wonderful to see how happy I have made someone feel or how much I have made a difference. All of this goes back to one of my favorite quotes: “be kind, for everyone is fighting their own battle.”

What kinds of things regarding kindness are you grateful for? I would love to hear from you!

  1. 27. I am grateful for intentional acts of kindness. We have to make a choice. Why not choose to be kind? My mother’s favorite advice to her five daughters is, “If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.” We call her The Nice Police.😇 When one of my sisters called my mother to complain about something her husband did, my mother, who has been married to my father for 56 years, said, “You have to be nice to your husband.” My sister replied incredulously, “Every day?”😯 Yes, we need to choose to be kind every day. And when we do, others are usually grateful and we are glad we did!

  2. I am grateful for the unconditional kindness that my parents, friends, and support system show me even though I can be a pain in the butt sometimes. They never give up on me, which is the kindest thing they can do.
