“Gated Hell” Poem (warning: not happy or cheerful, sorry guys)

Nothing is left inside of me

a hollow hole, just dark and empty

cannot feel joy, cannot feel pain

numb to the world I stand, soaked in the rain

when will I feel happy and free

to be at ease and able to see

a life beyond this gated hell

I grab the bars and desparately yell

“help me God, I need a cure,

from this torture I endure”

patiently I wait in silence

to put to sleep this inner violence

  1. I’m so sorry you are going through this. On a brighter note, your intense emotions bring out the writing talent in you! I really liked your title, Gated Hell. And the ending, patiently I wait in silence to put to sleep this inner violence, is an amazing statement of your perseverance and hope for the future.
