30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day # 11

11. Noise. To be truthful, I am not a big fan of a lot of noise. However, after some thinking I have realized that there are some noises that I am very grateful for. I am grateful for the sound of rain hitting the roof (especially at night), I find that so soothing. I am thankful for music and that I have my hearing so that I am ABLE to listen to the music that I love. Lastly, I am grateful for the sound of babies laughter. I think that is one of the most wonderful sounds in the world that just puts a smile on my face :).

What noises are you grateful for? I would love to hear from you!

  1. 11. It seems that the word noise has a negative connotation, but noise isn’t always a bad thing. The noise of a freight train means goods are being delivered. The noise of a busy street means people are employed, rushing off to their jobs. The noise of a machine means work is getting done. I remember when I had to go in for an MRI and the nurse kept warning me that there would be a lot of noise, as if it were a bad thing. But because I was concentrating on the noise, I got through that claustrophobic experience more easily. In fact, to me, the “noise” sounded like the electronic music my sons listen to.
