Fighting through Hard Times will Give you the BEST Days of your Life

Hello everyone!

So yesterday I had a pretty good day considering all of the circumstances. I was able to see a good friend of mine who I have known since high school and spent a “mini” girls day together (since I cannot handle more than a couple of hours). We went to get massages which were wondeful, followed by a steam shower. I have to say, it felt so good to have some of those tight knots get rubbed out of my back. Then we went to a coffe shop to grab some food and catch up. My friend is graduating today, and takes off for Europe early next week. I am so happy for her, and part of me a little jealous as well! That night, after having such a good day, I seemed to fall apart. I felt sick, sore, sad, and just down right depressed. I never know when those feelings are going to hit me, so sometimes I feel like I need to be on guard. That being said, if I am always waiting for something bad to happen, I am not enjoying the moment and living in the present-which is so important. Last night, however, I felt so down, stuck, and just trapped in my own limited body that I had a meltdown. I was questioning my existence and experiencing so much pain that it was almost excruciating. I felt better after I reached out to a good friend of mine from my last treatment center who I feel totally comfortable around. I have realized that with my condition, I am going to have to go through some hard times and bad days to experience some of the best days of my life. I am still recuperating from yesterday’s events today; but I do not regret yesterday and the quality time I got to spend with my best friend. There are some things that are worth experiencing pain for…and I am starting to learn what those events and circumstances are. The only way to experience some of the greatest moments in life is by going through storms. Some things in life, including life itself, are just worth fighting for. Have a great weekend lovelies ❤

  1. It seems like it’s always two steps forward and one step back. That’s okay. So glad the time spent with your friend was special! And later, when you were feeling down, reaching out to others is so important, as long as you do. I’m glad you did. Baby steps.
