Good morning lovelies! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend and a good Mother’s Day.
This weekend was a challenging one for me. I pushed the limits of what I could do on Friday just to end up in bed all day Saturday. Sunday, however, I got out of the house for a good chunk of the afternoon and went to look at a house in the city of Buffalo with my family that is for sale.
If I haven’t mentioned this in any of my previous posts, I will state in now: I am most likely moving from my family home into the city-which is a good 30 minutes away at least. It is a stressful time for me and my family, and there is a lot of change occurring. Not only are we getting ready to sell our house, but both my younger sisters are graduating: one from high school and the other from 8th grade. My sister is getting ready to go to college in Minnesota, my dad is getting ready to start a new job, and I am getting ready to go to the next doctor’s appointment. If you haven’t figured it out yet, this post is about change-it is inevitable. I am not a fan of change…in fact it is one of my greatest fears, and unfortunately something that cannot be avoided. After we arrived back home from looking at the house for sale, I started to panic and became very upset as I lied in my bed looking out the window at the Niagara River. “I don’t want to move” I told my mom. Youngstown is all I have ever known. I have lived in this little town for my entire life. That being said, maybe my family isn’t supposed to stay in Youngstown…maybe God has other plans in store for us. If you believe that everything happens for a reason-which I do-then God has a plan for me and my family and is paving the way for us to take another path. Even if you are someone like me and hates change, life moves on and is CONSTANTLY changing, whether you like it or not. So, instead of fearing change, we have to learn to embrace it and accept it as a fact of life-which is not always an easy thing to do. None the less, life is a journey, and we are not alone on this journey; we are all traveling together. So welcome change rather than run from it; it is one of the many beauties and adventure of life. Have a great day everyone 🙂
