Listen to your Body

Good morning lovelies! As many of you probably know, I have had a rough couple of days, and I put my body through quite a bit on Tuesday morning at physical therapy. I was supposed to have PT again this morning, but I woke up still so sore and tired from Tuesday’s exercise that I decided not to go this morning and to just stay home and give my body a break. Normally, in the past I would have felt EXTREME guilt over this decision and would be beating myself up for not going. Today, I have no guilt. I decided to listen to my body and what it needs. Below the picture is a poem that I wrote about listening to your body-it is such an important thing to do. Our bodies can tell us so much, and if we aren’t listening, we are only hurting ourselves in the long run. Have a wonderful day everyone!
love yourself

listen to your body, it’s talking to you

“I’m rushed and in a hurry-there is so much worry”

listen to your body, it’s talking to you

“Im stressed and sore-don’t push me anymore”

listen to your body, it’s talking to you

“I am sad and done-I just need some fun”

listen to your body, it’s talking to you

“I have tried my best-now please let me rest”

listen to your body, it’s talking to you

“Stop being so cruel-I just need some fuel”

listen to your body, it’s talking to you

“I need love and care, I just want you to be there”

don’t take away all that I need

“that isn’t fair!” I beg and plead

I give you so much every day

do not forget that, or brush it away

I want you to take care of me

and love and appreciate all that you see
